Thomson Catering Services Pte Ltd started in 1969, serving the construction, manufacturing
and petro-chemical industries. Started by a humble family, the third generation caterer commenced
operations on the oil-refinery island collectively called Jurong Island. Through
the word-of-mouth recommendation and support of faithful clients, our family-run catering
operations started taking on more food service projects.
With the second generation Management team, our catering business flourished from 1987 when Jurong
Island, Pulau Sakra and Pulau Seraya were collectively developed by JTC and EDB into a
petro-chemical hub. Jurong Island is an amalgamation of a cluster of 7 small-islands. As a result, many multi-national companies moved to Jurong Island to provide infrastructural construction for this massive industrial hub.
In 1998, Thomson Catering grew to a business corporation company, Thomson Catering & Enterprises Pte Ltd. At the same time, we also attained ISO 9002:1995 certification.
Many projects were secured which include Chiyoda Corporation, Exxon Mobil Chemical,
Penta-Ocean Construction Company Limited, Chevron, Obayashi and Plant Engineering
Construction Pte Ltd to name a few.
With the increased capacity to serve and to provide a wider variety of food & beverage choices to
our clients, Thomson Catering expanded its core business from catering
services to restaurant & cafeterias management.
In 2003, we were awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification. We are now recognised as a very customer focused
caterer in the management and daily operations of providing canteen and catering services. As a group, we are also HACCP and bizSAFE3 certified.

Today, after more than 42 years, Thomson Catering is proud to have our new Halal Certified central kitchen and the production support of new semi-auto food processing machines to boost both of our food preparation and packaging process to meet increasing catering demands.
We are now more efficient in providing a Buffet for All Occasions with a faster response and delivery time (being located near Jurong Island) thus ensuring that meals are delivered warm to our customers. This is also in-line with NEA's food safety practices and recommendation of '4 hrs Food Consumption Timing'. By abiding with the strict guidelines from NEA, the central kitchen has achieved 'A' Grading.

We strongly believe in closely following the Food Hygiene Guidelines as advised by the National Environment Agency (NEA). This has earned us the 'A' Grading for our Central Kitchen at Jurong Food Hub.We support the Ministry of Manpower's The Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) - a work-safe and food hygiene program to ensure that there are proper food quality control systems implemented and also provide a work-safe environment for our staff. We are also HACCP and bizSAFE3 certified.. HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is the systematic preventative approach to food safety. It addresses physical, chemical, and biological hazards as a means of prevention rather than finished product inspection. This, together with the ISO certification, has helped Thomson Catering as a group, to maintain high standards of food preparation for our customers.
